On May 14-15 four Latvian Legend drivers went to Botniaring to compete with the best Finnish Legend drivers in one of the longest and fastest racing tracks in Finland – Botniaring. Total of 37 participants was competing with both rain and slippery track.
Best results from 4 Latvian racers were shown by well known Latvian driver Konstantins Calko. For him this was the debut in Finnish Legends Championship. He took the 9th position in Race 1 and 5th position in Race 2, but due to penalty he was dropped to the 8th position afterwards. First round of Finnish Legends Championship was won by Heten Mathias and Johan Ahokas.
Other Latvian Legend drivers, including the well known Janis Horeliks, 15-year old kart racing champion Ernests Veismanis and more experienced Uldis Timaks, used the first round as a good training session for the upcoming NEZ Legends Championship first round in Parnu on July 2-3.
