Three different winners in 3 rounds – Simonas Urbonas wins E-BaTCC in Parnu Summer Race!
E-BaTCC round 3 had nonstop action on the auo24ring for the whole 60 minutes of racing. Porsche had been releaved of the BoP and their pace showed right away.
Top 3 spots in the Qualifying were taken by Porsche cars – the pole went to Haroldas Jotautas, Belgian wild card Julien Schein was close behind in second, while Justas Staciokas qualified third. Edvinas Žadeikis was the fastest with a Seat car in 4th. Championship leader Karolis Jovaiša started from the 7th.
Jotautas made a very good start and soon started to pull out from the field closely followed by competitors. Jovaiša climbed up the order and was challenging for the top 3 positions. Things were shaken up when the pitstops started. Jociukas and Schein tried an early pitstop with tire change, while Simonas Urbonas opted just to add fuel and save the time in pits. Jovaiša managed to climb to second place after pitstops while Urbonas was leading the race, with old tires but with some gap to the competitors.
Jotautas managed to overtake Jovaiša when latter’s tires were destroyed, while Schein followed soon enough but problems with internet stopped his charge for the winning positions. Jotautas managed to catch Urbonas in the last laps but Urbonas managed to hold his position and claim the victory. Jotautas finished second, while Jovaiša was third, extending his championship lead even more.
E-BaTCC now heads to Finland, Botniaring race track where the new battles will begin on June 21.
