FLASH RACING ENTERS NEZ6H 2019 SEASON WITH A LAMBORGHINI HURACAN

Latvian Flash Racing team is entering the new North European 6H Endurance Championship (NEZ6H) and BaTCC season with a new beast – Lamborghini Huracan.

Latvian team has bought the new car from Georgian team “Artine Racing Georgia” after consulting and testing the car in Georgia. The former owner of the car Shota Abhazava has several victories at “Lamborghini Super Trofeo” series.

“After several unsuccessful seasons at Baltic Endurance Championship, we decided to change something. Evaluating all possible options, we came to a decision to sell all our cars and buy something competitive. We chose Lamborghini Huracan because it is a factory car but it does not have speed limits as it is for TCR cars. The goal is to fight for a title in the NEZ Championship, Baltic Touring Car Championship and we are planning to participate in the 1000km race in Palanga and one of the stages in European series,” says one of the team members Arturs Batraks.

The team has not only a new car and visual image but has also changed the team. This year together with the team’s former members – father Vilnis Batraks and son Arturs Batraks – will drive pilot Mikk Maaten from Estonia who won the 2018 Baltic Championship title in 4H Endurance race together with Ernesta Globyte form Lithuania (VW Golf GTI TCR).

From March 29-31 car will be in the exhibition hall in Ķīpsala (Riga) within the exhibition OUTDOOR 2019 in the stand of “Laivu Centrs”. The real launch for Lamborghini Huracan will be at “DeWALT Grand Prix” at Bikernieki racetrack from May 11 to 12 – the NEZ and Baltic Touring car Championship season opening event.

NEZ6H Championship is expected to be with great competition and a wide range of participants as a number of Lithuanian, Estonian and Finnish teams have presented new cars already.
