RIMO CLAIMS ENEOS OIL 6H RACE VICTORY
The afternoon of August 20th was full of exciting battles in Biķernieki racetrack when 22 teams took the challenge to take part in the ENEOS OIL 6H RACE. After 6 hours racing the victory claimed RIMO team (Diesel) from Lithuania with Rimantas Blazulionis, Martynas Samuitis and Robertas Kupcikas. Only one lap slower was Rotoma Racing (GT) team with Lithuanian driver Robertas Graudinis and Latvian driver Konstantins Calko.
Hot fights between RIMO and Rotoma Racing was held from the very beginning of the race. Teams where exchanging leadership for several times and only shortly before the end of the race RIMO overtook Rotoma Racing team while it was refueling for the last time.
Third place overall and first in X1 class was taken by Samsonas racing team, final hour belonged to Mindaugas Varza. He showed really good result and finally they came third in overall and first in their class. As after finish told Mindaugas, everything went according to plan and they have reached the result as wanted. During the previous events they have some major technical issues. As there were no problems this time, they were able to show their best.
Fastest Latvian team was Zvaigzne Motorsport which finished in 4th place overall and 2nd in Diesel class. After withdrawal in ENEOS 1006 km race in Palanga team showed good results in their home track.
