BMW Turbo cup!
Announcing the new BMW Turbo cup – the mono class of BMW G20 series 330i model cars with similar principles like the famous BMW 325 CUP!
After a lot of discussions between all three Baltic countries, team leaders and a visit to Belgium racing team where these cars are rebuilt for racing, the decision is made and the first draft of rules are published.
Why G20 series? It might be the last proper petrol car from BMW that could be turned for circuit racing in a garage. This means that the car will have long life span and perspective for sale in global market, as the same cars are very popular in Nurburgring NLS series. Yes, the buying and building costs are quite high, but the running cost for one race kilometer will be similar to BMW 325 CUP, thus more affordable in maintenance and racing use than any other factory built car.
Many of the current or former BMW 325 CUP want to take the next step with a bit more modern and faster but to retain the same principle – equal cars where the driver is still the most important part of the equation. Similar principles from BMW 325 CUP success story apply: Mono tires, same 2l engine(B48B20 or B46B20 with 260 hp), mono suspension(TBA) and automatic gearbox with paddle shift.
Some teams have already bought the cars for building or have confirmed of doing so in a near future, so we will see the first batch of cars already out in 2025. Cars can also be bought race ready or be ordered to be built in Western Europe racing teams. The BMW Turbo Cup offers a level playing field where driver skill truly shines. Join us for this unique racing experience, where precision driving and thrilling competition meet!
