ESTONIAN GRAND PRIX WELCOMES BATCC PARTICIPANTS

This weekend “Estonian Grand Prix” is welcoming NEZ, Finnish and Baltic Touring Car Championship in racing circuit auto24ring located next to Pärnu resort.

Along with all other racing series, there are going to be Baltic Touring Car Championship participants having their third event of the season. Formula Historic, BTC and Baltic TCR classes racers will show up on Friday when the official practice and qualification sessions are going to take place.

The most exciting fight is expected in TCR class where in between of all three places holders are tiny gap only. Ramūnas Čapkauskas holding the first place after two rounds is not going to give up his victory that easily and in Estonian GP he is going to participate with Hyundai TCR instead of his own Cupra. Second place holder Džiugas Tovilavičius is looking forward to his fight for victory and the youngest participant Julius Adomavicius is again renting the VW Golf GTI TCR from “GSR Motorsport” team, just to claim his rights to the victory.

The best moments and pace were shown by Džiugas Tovilavičius during last event in Botniaring, Finland. After that one, racer was happy to participate in legitimate TCR racing series. As Džiugas said right after the finish in Botniaring: “TCR is a unique class. Power, equality and similarity and possibility for racer to show his or hers skills. Each time it is great fight and I am looking forward to new battles! In Botniaring, I had my second race with TCR car and it is my first season. However, each time I enjoy it more and more”.

In BGT AM class first place holder Marius Dijokas has only seven points gap from the second and third place holders Robertas Kupcikas and Roberts Rode. These two guys have the same amount of points before this round in Estonian GP. In BGT PRO class first place holder Egidijus Gutaravicius has taken the maximum points in Botniaring and can feel more or less safe, but in Estonia him will join Danish driver Frederik Holm (Renault Sport Megane V6), Finn Raimo Kesseli with Chevrolet Corvette and Rain Pilve From Belarussia (Renault Sport Megane V6).

Another close fight is among Formula Historic class participants where the main fight is for the third place. However, the gap in between of 2nd – 4th places are not too big and the winner of overall still might change.

To satisfy the wishes of all our fans, we want to assure you that the main races are going to be streamed live and commented in English on www.BaTCC.eu and BaTCC Facebook page!

Let’s jump to our Estonian racing weekend!
