OAK TURN DRIFT SPEED RECORD IN BIKERNIEKI RACETRACK – 204 KM/H

Within “ENEOS Riga Summer Race” in Bikernieki racetrack Oak turn “HGH Racing Team” pilot and only Latvian racer participating in Formula Drift series (USA) Kristaps Blušs has set the drift speed record – 204 km/h.

For “ENEOS Riga Summer Race” spectators drift speed record was set up in several attempts on August 19th and 20th

After Friday’s crash during training session Kristaps Blušs was drifting with another car – BMW E36 with 550 Hp. On Saturday he reached 201 km/h, but on Sunday it was improved by another 3 km/h – reaching 204 km/h.

After setting the record Kristaps Blušs as first received traveling “Drift King of Speed” trophy with his record and name on it.

“The idea of this show is simple – next and the comming years in “Riga Summer Race” touring car festival we will invite drifters with the opportunity to beat this high speed record and win the traveling trophy and name “Drift King Of Speed”. There are a number of criteria that must be fulfilled and after the race are carefuly evaluated. We are happy that Kristaps after the crash was able to set up the record with another car,” said Andis Meilands, organizer or the race.
