BALTIC 4H ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL EVENT GATHERS NEW RECORD OF PARTICIPANTS

Final event of the season is not always gathering the greatest number of participants. But not this time! 26 teams from 5 countries have applied for the last Baltic 4h Endurance Championship event in Riga. Final race of the season seams to be one of the most exciting considering that the champions in most of the classes are not clear yet.

8 teams will represent the most popular Diesel class – in front of everyone is “Rimo” team with Robertas Kupcikas, Martynas Samuitis and Rimantas Blazulionis. All other season leaders in BEC classes are ready as well – “Nero Racing” (A3000+), “Samsonasracing.com” (X1), “Lexus Team LT” (GT), “Alfa Romeo klubas” (A2000/A3000).

Surprise in the start list – Holland family and DHR.com team from UK with “Ford Escort” who were last seen a year ago in “Riga Summer Race” event. The start grid will complement 4RACE team with “Porsche GT 911” – hope to see them racing after all the technical issues in the previous events.

Two newcomers from Estonia will draw up competition to A3000 class drivers. “Est 1 Racing” team will represent Estonian racing stars Sten Pentus, Raimo Kulli together with French driver Thomas Padovani. Other Estonian team “Rednut Racing” will represent well known BMW 325 Cup drivers Kren Tunder, Mikk Maaten, Sven Karuse and Kristo Krinpus.

We chose the last 4h endurance race because our BMW 325 Cup championship is over for more than a month and many cup drivers wanted to get behind the wheel. Also as you know we are preparing endurance car so it is very good oportunity for our team to learn from it for the future. We have been preparing our car for few weeks now – biggest differents are 18″ wheels they were hard to fit to a cup car, slick/wet tires, bigger breaks and many smaller things.

Talking about our M3 endurance car we are taking time to build it properly. Finding all the best parts and make them work together. Our vision is to build very reliable, light and fast A3000 class car which is easy to drive fast to win the races in Baltics and Europe,” tells Estonian driver Kren Tunder (Rednut Racing team).
