NERO RACING: BIKERNIEKI TRACK IS REALLY INTERESTING AND DOESN’T FORGIVE MISTAKES

“Nero racing” team is leding A3000+ class before the last event in Bikernieki racetrack. The owner and one of the drivers of the team is Nerijus Malasevičius, Lithuanian who is living in Sweden. Tomorrow, on October 9, team is returning to Bikernieki racetrack to battle for the Champion title of the season with “Juta Bauer Rally Team”.

Before the race Nerijus outlines the plans for the next season.

How do you prepare for the final event?
Well, we did not make any big changes before this final event. We just wanted to assure that car would hold on until the end of the race. If the car will hold till the end, I am sure, we are going to have good results! I would love to say enormous THANK YOU for GSR Service team for preparation of the car and taking care of it back in Lithuania, while we are here. Anyway, it seems it is going to be final event for this car not only this season but in general.

Can you reveal your plans for the next season?
For the next season we are willing to get better, more powerful and with new technique. We have big plans for the next season with the team – have decided to go full season of rally championship as well as to participate in Baltic Touring Car Championship. It is more fun here than back in Sweden, much better organization, spectators support, awards….basically, everything. I should admit that Baltic circuit racing is going to good direction among the other events and I really like these series.

What do you think about Bikernieki racetrack?
Bikernieki racetrack is really interesting and doesn’t forgive mistakes. I am glad that there are progress always happening and there and I have been making recommendations to other Sweden teams to come, to try and to see the difference. After four seasons in Sweden, we are really glad we tried the BEC4H championship and really liked 1006 km race in Palanga and “Riga Summer Race”. We are going to be stuck with Baltic racing for a while.
