GREAT RACING AND FIRST VICTORIES IN BALTIC TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON OPENING IN PÄRNU

In the first weekend of May 2016 in auto24ring track Pärnu, Estonia where held the first round of Baltic Touring Car Championship. In total more than 100 participants competed for the victory in the main classes – Baltic Touring Cars, Kumho Challenge, BMW 325 and 4H Baltic Endurance Championship.

First class who named it’s winner was BMW 325 cup where after third races first plase took Estonian Tristan Viidas, second place got his team mate Andre Kiil and third place was left for Juha Huhtala / Timo Gronthal from Finland.

Between the poweful Baltic Touring Cars after second race on the top of all was Finnish driver Raimo Kesseli (Class Baltic Open) who with his convincing driving took first place by winning both racing rides. Another finn Petri Blomqvist (Class Baltic Open) got third place and Raivo Haal (Class Baltic Open) from Estonia was second. Other winners by classes – BGT was won by Estonian Oliver Tirmaa, BTC1 by another Estonian Peeter Peek and in Class BTC2 the best result showed Lithuanian driver Alvydas Malakauskas.

In Kumho Challenge which was also Latvian Championship participated 17 drivers. In National Class first place took the well known racer from previous season Janis Vanks, second Garijs Rozkalns and third Gatis Drevins. Class S1600 Nikolay Gryazin left unbeated and took the first place, second place was left to Kairo Kallas from Estonia and third place won new latvian racer Beate Klipa althaugh this was her first race in Baltic Touring Cars.

In 4H Baltic Endurance championship with breathtaking battle first place got team „Rimo” (Diesel) from Lithuania, second place won team „Zvaigzne Motorsport” (Diesel) from Latvia and third finished team „Nero racing” (A3000+) from Sweden.
